A grey and white wedding invitation suite arranged on a wood plank floor with eucalyptus leave around it.

I traveled from Napa, CA back to my hometown in Indianapolis for Rebecca + Greg. My lovely bride had two of my weaknesses…beautiful invitation suites and flowing florals. A grey and white hand calligraphy invitation suite address to Indianapolis, Indiana arranged on a wood floor. A white anemone and pink ranunculus bouquet with blue and blush silk ribbon sitting on a table in front of an industrial door. A black and white close up of wedding rings and engagement ring sitting on top of handwritten calligraphy names Closeup of the white and green boutonniere pinned to a blue tweed suit jacket with a forest green tie Black and white Film image of a Maid of Honor zipping up her sister (the bride) in front of an industrial doorway. Lots of candles in glasses strewn on the floor and on the base of a large wooden cross made for a wedding ceremony. We stopped by the Indianapolis Museum of Art before the ceremony actually. (This post is deceiving.) They chose to see each other beforehand privately and then proceed to take portraits together. When I title this as a rainy wedding in Indy, I cannot stress to you HOW serious I am. Shooting in film give such grace in terms of color and highlights helping it to not look so dreary and dull. I use a “Think Tank” as my camera gear bag and thankfully it just looks like a suit case – wide and sturdy enough to stand on if I need to be taller for a photograph and also a makeshift bench to shield from the elements. Its a rolling bag and not a small one so after we picked a place each time I would fold Rebecca’s dress behind her and place it on my camera bag. Here, in the next photo they are walking but not before meticulously giving Greg instruction on how to help carry her dress. We took only two photos in this spot because we didn’t want umbrellas in the image and … here they are! Ha!A bride holds her dress from the wet sidewalk strewn with autumn colored wet foliage walking besides her husband. Groom in blue tweed and bride holding an anemone bouquet smile as they walk on a wet sidewalk covered in fallen autumn leaves.
