Maybe it was because I grew up on a ranch with horses, maybe its because I never lived near the ocean.

I adore the mountains. Its not like I love camping or am exceptionally outdoorsy but I think the mountains are visually stunning. I always think of the phrase “Purple Mountain Majesties.” when I’m in any mountain range and the sun twinkles away as it sets. You can see the sweeping views here are never disappoint. We were forced to do portraits in the bright mid-day sun, and the dessert landscape mixed with the Utah mountains were a different aesthetic than I usually photograph but photographed on a medium like film, it works and works so well. Film renders highlights more naturally to how we see real life with our own eyes without losing detail and is a quite flattering medium for skin tones. (Win, win, …win?!)

This was a destination wedding for me and my first trip to Utah (naturally first trip to Park City) though our bride has been in several of my past weddings and is friends with…all many of my past brides. Its like a bridesmaid sorority. Tighe and Mary had a beautiful wedding and thank you for letting me be a part of it.

Quick…someone get a farmhouse table and slap it right in the middle of this with some amazing dinner.
